Chartered Account by day, cartoonist and Writer by night, passionate athlete at twilight and dutiful householder on weekends  There are people who make things for the Western markets and those who do the same for the Indian market. I make cartoons for an audience who are rooted culturally in India but who are spiritually agile enough to assume Western sensibilities - who swear by Quentin Tarantino AND David Dhawan / Bharathiraja in the same breath - I make cartoons for this audience - the INDIAN diaspora in INDIA !

  1. Thank you so much for posting, Ravishanker. Truly humbled by your encouragement…

Please please please come up with a cartoon that features the situation with JJ, MK, Captain, Vaiko, Seeman, et al. 🙂

  2. Ram Murali : My pleasure entirely ! The new format is really good. Re: the cartoon – I guess I’m too late and bogged down with other things. If ‘Captain’ had won something it would have given a new spin on things 🙂
Unexpected result as far as I’m concerned and for many I’m sure.

–> If ‘captain’ had won, then you should have had a cartoon that showed him wearing a ‘mundaas’ and secretly entering the back entrance of a TASMAC shop and get caught red handed by JJ.
The conversation goes, “Election munaale TASMAC kadai moodren nu sonnengaley…ipdi panreengaley pa?”
“Ipovum adhaan paren. TASMAC kadai munaale muditen…adhaan, pinnaale varen!”
PS: Due credit to Crazy Mohan for the munaale-pinaale pun 🙂
