Chartered Account by day, cartoonist and Writer by night, passionate athlete at twilight and dutiful householder on weekends  There are people who make things for the Western markets and those who do the same for the Indian market. I make cartoons for an audience who are rooted culturally in India but who are spiritually agile enough to assume Western sensibilities - who swear by Quentin Tarantino AND David Dhawan / Bharathiraja in the same breath - I make cartoons for this audience - the INDIAN diaspora in INDIA !

  1. Turncoat vs. Raincoat – that was funny and witty! The profile views of Sasikala and OPS were wonderfully done. Are profiles harder to draw than frontal view? I am asking since this looks so intricately done that I thought to myself, “This couldn’t have been easy!”
    Anyways, very nicely done!

    1. Thanks so much Ram Murali !

Yes profiles are harder to do. It was quite frustrating since I expected to turn this out relatively fast but even the proportions werent working out and the violent poses I had in mind just wouldnt fit on the A4 size paper.

It could have gone awfully wrong.

Actually this morning I was thinking about the raincoat jibe issue in Parliament which has also been burning on the sidelines this last week and I was wondering if I should do something on that but nothing seemed to be clicking.

In the meantime, gags on the OPS saga were leaking big time from the pen. So the combination of both issues was serendipitious.

We cartoonists / writers need some luck now and then 🙂

Thanks again…. and again for checking this out and for “dragging me into politics”. Remember your refrain during the TN elections ? :):)

–> As Randy Pausch said, “Luck is where preparation meets opportunity!” You were prepared…so, it’s not completely luck 🙂
